Dana SawchukDana Sawchuk received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto’s Centre for the Study of Religion in 2001.  She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.  Much of her past work has involved studying the relationships between religion and politics, and Church and State, in Latin America.  Other research interests include: sexual harassment prevention programs sponsored by religious institutions, the sociology of social movements (particularly as it relates to women, activism, and aging), and religion and aging.
